As part of Environment California’s campaign to protect and enhance the
marine environment off our coast, we support HR 1187. Expanding the Gulf of Farallones and Cordell Bank sanctuaries
north to include the source of much of their food and water is a wonderful
example of planning and managing as if the ecosystem mattered. And obviously, it does. We applaud Rep. Lynn Woolsey (CA-6) and Rep.
Wayne Gilchrest (MD-1) and the bill’s 50 other cosponsors for having the
foresight to protect this area.
